As thing
progress I will continue to update you guys. My outside IP changed
again. So mapping a static port number may be for naught. If
the ip keeps
changing so need my static maps in the nat. too much work.
Gamespy and the
master browser should announce the game anyway. (some people want
to make
if a favorite and for now thats not a great idea either because the IP
will
change at least one more time when the server is move the Gene's.
HUGE&RANDO'S PLACE (63.226.212.50:27960)
got some config editing to do and thats about it. tomorrow it will
be
finished for now. I have written my configs into my router, which
is happy
for now,so I should not have to reboot it again, hopefully for weeks.
For now
it is up as huge & rando's place... Its ip is 63.226.212.50
:27960
check for it in gamespy and in the master browser. I need to know
a valid
outside ping time for the server. Sunday I had an advertised ping
of 9999.
even though, we could connect and get pings in the 50's and 60's.
I checked
the master browser and show a ping of 67~70. I will leave the ref
pass the
same, there is room for two private clients, the private password is
"###".

I came home to find that the router had lost connection and then
reconnected. Its dynamic dhcp so it really isn't rebooting (I used
the term
for simplicity) it just reconnects. Gamespy is reporting the
server. I'm
sure the master browser is too.
Lan, exterm, I don't think I will use RW while playing WFA on our
server, it
took up some of the bandwidth when we hit 9 or 10 clients so when I got
out,
router congestion dropped some. (I was on the eth0 port anyway for WFA
and
on wan0 for RW). I could have played more WFA, without pulling
bandwidth
away, but had to take care of other things. Roger Wilco is cool
though.
We can post the IP and port for those who wish to "specify"
from the menu or
whatever program they wish to use. Again, I advise to refrain from
marking
this as a favorite, if the IP changes it fall back into the general
category. The IP changed in 15+ hours, it normally wouldn't do
this for 45
days or so.
end of blah, blah, blah
